Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 9 August 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
StudyGlow ("StudyGlow", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Zoe jean Morrow, a sole trader. These Terms & Conditions form a binding agreement between you and Zoe jean Morrow governing your use of the StudyGlow website and application (the "Service").
2. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service. If you are using StudyGlow on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation. If you are below the age of majority where you live, you should use StudyGlow with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
3. What StudyGlow provides
StudyGlow is a study companion that turns assignments into a daily checklist, provides a Pomodoro focus timer, tracks study streaks and reward points, offers calendar views of due dates, and provides an AI tutor that explains homework concepts. A free tier is available, and a paid Premium subscription unlocks additional features such as calendar sync and export.
4. Your account
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any regulation;
- engage in fraud, spam, or misrepresentation of your identity;
- infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of anyone else;
- interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, including introducing malware, probing or scanning our systems, circumventing technical limits, or scraping the Service;
- reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service;
- submit content to the AI tutor that is illegal, abusive, or that you do not have the rights to submit.
6. AI tutor — accuracy and responsibility
The AI tutor generates explanations automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. It is an educational aid only and is not a substitute for your own work, your teacher, or professional advice. You are responsible for your prompts, for verifying any output before relying on it, and for complying with your school's academic integrity rules. We may filter, refuse, or moderate content and may suspend accounts that misuse the feature.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the assignments, tasks, notes, and questions you enter. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you.
8. Our intellectual property
We retain all rights in the Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in line with the plan you have selected.
9. Payments, subscriptions and taxes
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Premium is billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as you choose) and renews automatically until cancelled. Payment, billing, currency, tax, invoicing, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. You can cancel at any time; see our Refund Policy.
10. Service availability
We work to keep StudyGlow available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Features may change, and we may modify or discontinue parts of the Service.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. When access ends, you may export your data during a reasonable window, after which we may delete it.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not permit that limitation.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page, and material changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
15. General
You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
16. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to Zoe jean Morrow through the support channel listed in the app. Billing questions are handled by Paddle at paddle.net.
